1 min reading time

As part of the new marketing direction for Lightyear, Wouter Vink joins our team to oversee the next commercial steps towards the mass market.

Wouter joins us from Silicon Valley, where he amassed great experience from a number of marketing leadership positions at Google. The most recent role he was engaged in was as Head of Merchant Marketing at Google Payments. Before this, he was responsible for marketing strategies, where he employed his knowledge of Growth Marketing and Partner Marketing.

Reinforcing market position

“I can’t wait to work with the Lightyear team to strengthen and expand their unique market position and brand awareness to support its growth process towards becoming a full-fledged automotive and technology company. Scalability is key when reaching this goal.”, Wouter Vink — VP Marketing at Lightyear.

In his new role, Wouter will oversee the development and implementation of Lightyear’s marketing strategy, as we move to further our international growth.

Wouter’s appointment comes after a very exciting month, as we announced the successful testing of our latest Validation Prototype, the opening of a new facility in Venray, and the signing with Valmet Automotive, to start the manufacturing of Lightyear One.
