Lightyear appoints Bart Welten as Chief Financial Officer and Floris van de Klashorst as Chief Transformation Officer

Helmond, Netherlands — Lightyear, the Dutch solar car company, appointed Bart Welten as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 17 and Floris van de Klashorst as Chief Transformation Officer (CTFO), effective April 12.

Prior to joining Lightyear, Welten held CFO positions at Avantium NV, Centrient Pharmaceuticals, Kiadis Pharma and DSM. 

Van de Klashorst previously held senior leadership positions at Volkswagen Group, Renault Nissan Alliance, Here Technologies and Nokia and 6 years of experience in board positions at a number of companies in the field of mobility and technology.
