You can now sign up for the waitlist and be the first to drive solar electric! With Lightyear 0 being in production, we’ve accomplished our goal of showing the world the possibilities of clean, solar electric driving. Our next step, however, lies in bringing clean mobility to a global audience. Lightyear 2, the affordable mass market model, is on its way. And the waitlist is officially open.

The world got its first glimpse of Lightyear 2 at CES 2023, the most influential tech event in the world held in Las Vegas. Lucky attendees from all over the world could catch a sneak peek ahead of our car’s global unveiling later in the year.

What’s in it for you?

Signing up for the Lightyear 2 waitlist comes with a whole host of bright benefits. You will be amongst the first to know when pre-orders open up in your country, giving you the best chance to secure your own Lightyear 2. If you’re part of the first wave of pre-orders, you’ll get your car faster than those who have to wait for the second batch. The first to know, the first to own.

Can’t wait to experience clean driving in a Lightyear 2? Sign up now and when the time comes, you could be one of the first to experience the unprecedented efficiency of our next solar car.

Being on the waitlist also means you’re the first to get all the exciting updates as we make steady progress on Lightyear 2’s development.

Proving it’s possible

It’s always been our goal to bring our solar technology to every corner of the world. But to get to that point, we first had to prove our technology works.

Lightyear 0 is the culmination of six years of painstaking research, a pioneering, holistic approach to design, and the combined efforts of hundreds of like-minded visionaries who all shared the same dream: to show the world that it’s possible to drive on solar energy.

Now, six years later, we’ve proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that solar electric driving is as viable as it is crucial. Lightyear 0, the world’s first solar car, is rolling off the production line at this very moment, and will soon be driving on European roads. Running on sunlight, leaving no emissions behind.

Now the time has come to take the next step. The research and development that went into Lightyear 0 will serve as a stepping stone to make Lightyear 2 an extremely efficient and capable car for every lifestyle. It will be competitively-priced and inherit all of the innovations of Lightyear 0; freedom to move without the pinch of range anxiety or the anchor of charging stations. We call it: electric driving made easy.

We’ve relied on pioneers for the entirety of our journey so far. Pioneering minds who dared to dream of a world where we could travel without taxing the planet. Pioneering engineers and designers, who built the car that could make that dream a reality. And now we’re passing the torch to the next group of pioneers, you. Because true clean mobility depends on more than a revolutionary car, it needs drivers to accelerate change.

Sign up for the Lightyear 2 waitlist today, and join the clean mobility movement.
